Oral Conscious Dental Sedation

Oral conscious sedation comes in the form of a pill that is taken orally prior to your appointment. This will put your mind and body into a deep state of relaxation, which means you’ll need to have a friend or family member drive you to our dental office and back home. Keep in mind that you’ll still be awake to confirm your comfort levels with our team. However, you’ll probably feel like you slept through most of your treatment due to the strength of the sedative.

Nitrous Oxide Dental Sedation

Over the past century, dental offices have been using nitrous oxide sedation for those with mild to moderate levels of dental anxiety of fear. You won’t need to prepare ahead of time to receive nitrous oxide; the process is as simple as wearing a nasal mask and slowly breathing in the sedative over the next few minutes. The sedative is a mixture of nitrous and oxygen and will help you feel very calm throughout your appointment. After we remove the mask, you’ll be able to continue the rest of your day without any interruption.
